Ever since Hollow Knight: Silksong dropped, players have been scouring every nook and cranny of Pharloom for its most coveted upgrade items. Among the stacks of Rosaries and gleaming shards, Memory Lockets are the real game-changer. These little beauties don’t just look pretty on a shelf—they’re the only way to power up your crests, opening fresh accessory slots when you take them to a bench. With 20 Lockets scattered across the kingdom, finding the full set is the key to dominating bosses and surviving those brutal endgame gauntlets. So grab your needle and thread, because we’re diving deep into every Memory Locket location in Silksong.
Before getting into the nitty-gritty, here’s the lowdown: Crests are your ticket to rocking more accessories at once. You’ll find them all over, but without Memory Lockets they’re about as useful as a glass hammer. The Lockets themselves are stashed in some downright sneaky spots—hidden rooms, dusty merchant inventories, side quest rewards, and even on the corpses of unfortunate bugs. Some you can nab early for an edge, while others demand advanced abilities like the Silk Soar or double jump. Whether you’re a completionist or just want to turn Hornet into an untouchable silk-wielding powerhouse, this guide has you covered.

Kicking things off in Far Fields, the pilgrimage’s first Locket is practically a freebie—if you’ve got the Rosaries. Inside the rest stop at Pilgrim’s Rest, find the merchant Mort and fork over 150 Rosaries for Memory Locket #1. Miss this window? No sweat; Grindle the thief will sell it during Act Three, though at a likely steeper price. The same sprawling region holds a second Locket just northeast, guarded by a Skarrgard. Put the beast down and check the bug corpse behind it.
From there, the hunt gets spicier. Deep Docks hides a Locket in a magma chamber that’ll test your glide skill (earned after clearing Far Fields). Break a wall, glide past molten walls and spikes, and snatch it from a tiny platform at the bottom—easy money if you keep your cool. Hunter’s March offers a straightforward grab: attack a hanging cage to knock loose a Locket from a dead bug, no fancy footwork required. The Wormways continue the grim tradition with another dead bug Locket in the southwestern corner of a room, while Greymoor’s first Locket demands a bit of parkour past a Mitemother in a hidden chamber off Bellway station.

Quests sweeten the pot too. Swing by Bone Bottom and check the Wishboard for the “Volatile Flintbeetles” side quest. Take down the required enemies in The Marrow, hand over three Flintgems, and you’ll be rewarded with another Locket. Bellhart’s tragic tale wraps up with a Locket sold by Frey for 330 Rosaries after you’ve defeated Widow in Shellwood. Meanwhile, The Marrow itself hides a Locket in its frosty northern reaches, reachable only with the wall jump ability unlocked from Bellhart’s events. Blasted Steps tests nerve—glide over sandworm territory to a lower corridor without becoming lunch.
The back half of the list dives into later regions. Sands of Karak grows a red vine from a yellow bulb, leading to a Locket at the end of a wall-jump sequence. Bilewater serves up two: one in the Exhaust Organ via wall jumps and pogoing off exploding bile orbs, and another in Bilehaven by smashing a cocoon east of the bench. Whispering Vaults, Choral Chambers (accessed via Underworks with some lever-pulling acrobatics), and the Underworks itself each cough up a Locket after navigating hidden corridors and spike-filled gauntlets. Memorium’s Locket is a cinch once you’ve snagged the double jump from Mount Fay—just glide left over spike beds.

The final stretch demands endgame abilities. Greymoor’s Halfway Home locket requires a double jump return trip to reach a secluded alcove. The Slab, which initially seems barren during the escape sequence, coughs up its Locket only after obtaining Silk Soar in Act Three; use the ability to float into a secret alcove. And the very last Memory Locket (#20) is back in Bellhart, above the hanging bells. From the ladder near Frey’s shop, Silk Soar directly upward into a new area to claim the treasure—no muss, no fuss if you’ve put in the work.
