U4GM Reveals Arc Raiders Turbine Weak Points and Tactics
#1
Expedition 4 runs can turn ugly fast when an ARC Turbine catches a squad in open ground, especially after Update 1.36.0 made its spawns feel far more common. The payoff is still worth the ammo, repair parts, and occasional wipe: a clean kill can feed your stash with valuable components and ARC Raiders BluePrints while pushing progression forward. The mistake I see most often is treating the Turbine like a normal armored target and dumping rounds into its body. Its exposed joints, engines, and attack-phase core are where the fight actually gets decided.

Break Its Movement Before Chasing Damage
The Turbine becomes much easier once you stop letting it control the pace. Open from cover, keep moving between shots, and prioritize the joints with heavy fire. Damaging those areas reduces its ability to pressure you with slams and makes the core window safer to exploit. Hullcracker IV is the obvious lead weapon for this job, while a heavy-ammo Bettina is excellent when the engine or core is exposed and you can cash in on its armor damage. Anvil or Venator makes a sensible backup, particularly when you don't want to burn premium heavy rounds on smaller threats.

Save Your Big Ammo for the Real Windows
Ammo discipline matters more than theoretical DPS here. A Turbine can soak up a surprising amount of fire if you shoot whenever it is visible, so hold the heavy weapon for weak points rather than panic-firing through armor. Wolfpack or Deadline Grenades help strip protection quickly, giving the squad a shorter damage window to capitalize on. Showstopper Grenades are better reserved for the messy moments, when summoned enemies begin crowding your cover. Jolt Mines also earn their slot because slowing and electrocuting nearby threats buys time without forcing everyone to turn away from the boss.

Solo Clears Need Space, Not Bravado
For solo players, mobility is more valuable than trying to out-tank the Turbine. Light armor and mobility-focused skills make it easier to leave a slam zone, reset behind cover, and avoid getting trapped during EMP disruption. Blaze Grenade Traps can help control the adds while you reposition. Around 40 to 60 heavy rounds is a reasonable planning range, but don't treat that as a promise; missed weak-point shots, bad terrain, and repeated summon phases can stretch the cost. Bring repair materials too, since durability losses can turn an otherwise profitable run into a poor trade.

In a two- or three-player squad, spread out instead of stacking behind the same rock. One player can hold attention while the others punish joints and the exposed core, then everyone can switch briefly to add clearing during EMP pressure. Improved matchmaking may reduce some PvP risk, but it won't protect a team that enters understocked or greedily chases every drop. Farm the Turbine when your loadout can support repeated attempts, keep the best ARC Items for upgrades and repairs, and Expedition 4 becomes a dependable part of the Arc Raiders endgame grind.
