U4GM Tracks Better Mythic Drops in Diablo 4 - Hartmann846 - 07-18-2026

July's Season 14 hotfix changes the way endgame loot feels the moment you start putting a build together. Crafted Mythics are no longer locked behind a one-item equip rule, so a useful drop doesn't have to sit in your stash because another crafted piece got there first. That matters a lot when you're chasing Diablo 4 Items for a specific setup rather than just collecting purple gear for the sake of it. The Corrupted Reaper also has better Mythic drop rates now, which helps, but the freedom to actually wear what you craft is the bigger deal.

Builds Can Breathe Again
Before the hotfix, players were pushed toward one obvious crafted Mythic. Pick the strongest general-purpose option, equip it, then treat every other crafted Mythic as a maybe-later item. It was a strange limit for a season built around expanding Unique item choices. Now you can combine effects across slots. One Mythic can cover defense, another can ease resource problems, and a third can support the damage loop. You still need to make smart slot choices, of course. Gloves compete with gloves. Weapons compete with weapons. But that's normal buildcraft, not an invisible restriction getting in the way.

Necromancer Gear Has More Reasons to Matter
This is especially good news for Necromancers. Season 14 gave several class Uniques real attention: Cruor's Embrace received a larger damage bonus, Deathless Visage got stronger Bone Spear echo and critical damage, and Mace of King Leoric now gives Golem builds a much heavier payoff. Ebonpiercer also hits harder when Blight uses Piercing Darkness. These aren't blanket buffs that make every Necromancer build identical. They're hooks. A Bone Spear player can build around Deathless Visage, while a minion player can lean into Leoric's mace without feeling that every supporting Mythic choice is off limits. Red Blessing was toned down, though, so not every item came out ahead.

Be Careful With the Cube
There's still one major catch. The Upgrade to Mythic recipe doesn't reliably preserve the Unique you put into it. It returns a Mythic from the same equipment slot, not necessarily a Mythic version of that exact item. That's easy to misread, and it can hurt badly if you've fed it a near-perfect class Unique. Don't toss in a prized Deathless Visage, Cruor's Embrace, or another build-defining piece unless you're fine with losing it. Same slot doesn't mean same power, same name, or even the same role in your setup. The system needs a clearer warning here because players naturally read "upgrade" as a continuation of the item they own.

Where Endurant Faith Fits
Endurant Faith is worth another look for Necromancers that keep getting clipped by burst damage. It drops with Primary Core Stat and Maximum Life in Season 14, though its damage reduction was lowered to 15-20 percent. So, it won't carry a weak defensive setup by itself. It can still steady a character that already has armor, resistances, healing, barriers, or Fortify working properly. The real question is whether those gloves are worth giving up a class-specific option. For Blood builds relying on Cruor's Embrace, probably not. Other setups may have room. With more access to Diablo 4 Items cheap, players can test that trade without giving up every crafted Mythic elsewhere, and that's where this hotfix starts to feel useful.
